Present-
Mr. Lawrence Heasman
Pastor Robert Farrell

1. FUTURE MEETINGS
Robert wanted this to be a meeting that began a conversation on finances and was simply to be a high level overview of the way ahead, to that end, we would be talking around preparing for three further meetings
1.1. Monday January 5th 09:00am at Sainsburys
1.1.1. To finalise the budget details that have been passed through to Robert thus far. Robert will get these details to Lawrence asap.
1.1.1.1. Action 01 – Complete by – January 5th - Robert
1.1.2.
Monday January 12th 19:30pm Elders Meeting at Andrews
1.1.3. To finalise the details we would be preparing for the coming year and the AGM
1.2. Wednesday February 04th 19:30pm A.G.M.

2. GIVING DAY
2.1.
My I propose we have the church giving day on Sunday February 15th, St Valentines Day!
2.2. I know we briefly discussed making sure that we had a project to give to, which I totally agree. I reckon this will be the ‘Kitchen’ and any top up needed for doing the front of the church building and disabled toilets etc.
2.3. Lawrence indicated that it would be good for someone else to pick up the organisation and care of the Kitchen especially as it related to having a cooker and all the connected health and safety requirements. That being the case, Robert suggested Steve Wright, HOD for hospitality should be the one to head this one up. Robert will approach Steve to verify this
2.3.1. Action 01 – Complete by – January 5th - Robert

3. SALE OF MANSE
3.1. Lawrence indicated that we should clear some £67,000
3.2. Together with approx £22,000 we have in the bank we have around £89,000
3.3. Last year we took in between £28,000- £30,000

4. RING FENCING ROBERT’S SALARY
4.1. Robert indicated that we would do our very best to ring fence his salary for the next two years- At around £80,000 for those two years, and projected income (assuming it remains the same at £60,000 – then we would have to lay aside £20,000 out of existing funds to meet this need.

5. FUTURE USE OF CHURCH FLAT
5.1. Robert indicated that we needed to employ Luke in the future (July 1st 2009) and as payment for 20 hours per week, see that he had a place to live. In addition to this the other two rooms would be used for two more church workers. Lawrence suggested that if that was the case then it was pretty pointless renting it out even for the short term as work needed to be done on the property. Robert agreed.
5.2. Robert will work with the Elders and Trustees to get a contract written up for Luke
5.3. Robert will work with Richard in sourcing a church worker from a Bible college for a year
5.4. Robert will liaise with the elders about who will occupy the 3rd room.

Thanks Lawrence, I look forward to meeting with you on the 5th Of January.
